Funkill & Strashine
Funkill & Starshine is
20 minute long animation created with Flash.
It was my diploma project. Originally intended as experiment innovating
the media of comics. It is supposed to give the dynamic of animated
film while still keeping the philosophy of inter picture transitions of
traditional comic media.
The work on it took around
six months , in which Iproduced over 160 000 frames
(3 times more than Flash animation max. limit). Countless scenes were discarded
and the current version is only the 1/3 of the intended first episode.
Unfortunately the final animation
proved to be to complicated (much higher quality
and detail than usual flash animations) to be played on a average computer.
For this reason the original project was transformed into a DVD film , with
high
quality, frame rate , and 20 minutes long original music score.
Version you are about to
see is heavily optimised to be playable over internet and
on a regular computer.
The music for Funkill & Starshine was done by my good friends from Stromstrasse.
